Provenance
Calendula officinalis is part of the Asteraceae family and supposedly has its historical roots in North-African Atlas mountains.
In Central-Europe marigold has been used already since the 12th century as a medical plant.
It is one of the best-known healing herbs and its various ingredients are being used in numerous medical fields.

Active ingredients
Calendula helps with wound-healing and -closure as well as supporting growth of new cell tissue. Furthermore it is anti-inflammatory and is seen as cleansing, surpresses swellings and soothes pain. This beautiful flower has been selected as healing-plant of the year 2009.

Application during and after tattooing
Vaseline is used during tattooing to keep the skin supple and to remove the excess tattoo color easily and gently. It can also be used as After Care. Our vaseline has pharmacopoeial quality and meets the requirements of the DAB. It is recommended for medical purposes.
